College SAVE Lunch and Learn at McIntosh County Bank

McIntosh County Bank will host a College SAVE Lunch and Learn for anyone interested in learning how they can save for College through the State of North Dakota’s College SAVE Plan. The Lunch and Learn will be held at 12 noon at McIntosh County Bank in the bank basement on Wednesday, Sept. 12th.  MCB will provide lunch.

The College SAVE plan is for parents, grandparents or even friends who want to open an account for a child to go to college. Earnings grow tax free in College SAVE, and contributions can be used as a tax deduction on North Dakota income every year up to $10,000 for married couples filing jointly or $5,000 for single filers.

College SAVE’s North Dakota Matching Grant program is available for 8 out of 10 North Dakota families and is based on income.
The matching grant allows married couples earning $100,000 or less a one time match up-to-$500 per child when they open a College SAVE account. Married couples earning $60,000 or less earn a match up-to-$500 over three consecutive years per child. Single filers earning below $60,000 and $30,000 also qualify. Children must be 15-years-old or younger to qualify.

Plus, the Children FIRST program for North Dakota newborns 12 months old or younger allows for a $100 contribution from the state.

Learn about all the College SAVE options and benefits of saving for college through College SAVE at www.collegesave4u.com or join McIntosh County Bank and College SAVE for the Lunch and Learn at 12 noon on September 12.  Please RSVP to Kayla Litsey by September 10th.

College SAVE is administered by the state owned Bank of North Dakota.

You Can Help! We all know an Unsung Hero-- One of those people who make our community something special.

  • You know the guy-the fellow who shovels all the side walks on the block before sunrise and won't take a dime for it...
  • Maybe it's the lady who takes the time to check on her elderly neighbors every day...
  • The woman who's there with hot chicken soup when you're under the weather...

  • The volunteer fireman who drops the tools of his trade to help save someones business or home...

Facelift - Ashley is getting a remodel

Our Ashley building, originally built in 1965 and added on in 1988 was getting a few crows feet around the eyes, so to speak. In January we started a complete interior remodel of the building, added offices for privacy and replacing wall coverings, carpet and windows. We hope to finish the interior of the bank by June 1st. We also plan to spruce up the exterior a bit, accenting our brick features a little with some colors. MCB is utilizing the renaissance zone status in Ashley, and hope to model our features similar to the themes being developed for the City of Ashley. We invite you to stop in and see what we've done to our Ashley location!
